Tigo releases next generation of TS4 advanced retrofit/add-on MLPEs
Tigo, pioneer of the smart modular Flex MLPE platform, announced its new TS4-A, the advanced retrofit/add-on solution that brings smart PV module technology to standard modules for advanced functionality. This is a new generation of flexible module-level power electronics in the TS4 Platform with improved lightweight hardware for higher wattage and lower installation costs.
The TS4-A is available with multiple functionalities to address a unique range of features and budgets — now including the TS4-A-F (Fire Safety) and TS4-A-O (Optimization). SMA inverters now certified for rapid shutdown
Tigo, pioneer of the smart modular Flex MLPE platform, announced the new Underwriter Laboratories (UL) certification of its TS4 Platform Rapid Shutdown Systems (RSS) with SMA, a global provider of residential & commercial inverters. The SMA inverters listed below were successfully certified with Tigo’s RSS solutions TS4-F (Fire Safety), TS4-O (Optimization), and TS4-L (Long String). Tigo is currently compatible and available with SMA and more tier one certified inverter manufacturing partners throughout the U.S. Contact Tigo to learn more about RSS information for integrated or retrofitted PV installations.
This UL certification is part of Tigo’s multivendor initiative providing customers with the advantages of reliable, safe, and cost-effective solutions. The use of Tigo smart modules and high efficiency inverters allows design flexibility for installers to comply with National Electric Code (NEC) 2017 690.12 RSS regulations. Tigo has also been internationally recognized as the only module-level power electronic vendor with UL-certified RSS with multiple PV module manufacturers.
